Policies

Reservation confirmation. Reservations will be held for 48-hours pending receipt of Visa or MasterCard information or a check equaling one night’s lodging (call to let us know if you will be mailing a check – thanks!).

Cancellation policy. We require 10 days notice to cancel a reservation. A $15 fee for processing cancellations may be charged. If a cancellation is made less than 10 days from the reservation date, we require payment for all nights that cannot be rebooked to another guest. We will happily honor nights paid for during our off-season (October-April) – some of the most beautiful times of year here – often with a room upgrade. We do not refund for early departure or weather-related cancellations during April – October. We are a small guesthouse and cancellations greatly affect us – thank you for your understanding.

Pet-friendly policy. Well-behaved, socialized, non-aggressive pets are always welcome. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times around the house, not left alone in your suite or pasture, and kept off of furniture and beds.  We have ample pasture for you and your pet to run free!  Please let us know at the time you book if you will be bringing along your pet. Dogs and cats are $12/night. We can occasionally accommodate horses – call for details. Barking Mad Farm is a working farm and we often have cattle and other livestock on the property so we ask that you keep your pet under your control at all times. Please note that Barking Mad Farm is also home to barn cats, wildlife, and a small cattle dog.

Adults and children over 12 only please. Except under special circumstances, children cannot be accommodated. If you need ‘time out’ from the kids, Barking Mad Farm is perfect!

Two night minimum stay required on weekends and three night minimum over holidays. Based on our previous experience as visitors to Wallowa County, we strongly recommend at least 3 nights whenever you stay! If you’re spending the time to get here, take the time to enjoy it!

Occupancy. Room fee includes single or double occupancy. An additional 3rd guest can be accommodated in all suites for $25/person/night. The Buffalo Suite most easily accommodates a third guest in the second bedroom.

Dietary restrictions, mobility, & medical issues. We will do our best to accommodate special diets. Please let us know at time of reservation if you have dietary requirements, allergies, or medical conditions of which we should be aware. Entrance to the home involves 5 steps. Treetops Suite and Seven Devils Suites are both upstairs units.  Buffalo Suite is on the main floor.

Check-in is between 4 p.m. or 6 p.m.  daily, early check ins are welcomed – just give us a call when you’re on your way! Late arrivals by advanced arrangement only please.
